Upcoming Events Retreat at The Voyageur Inn-ReedsburgPlease join Quintessential Quilts on February 17, 18 and 19, 2012 at the Voyageur Inn in Reedsburg for our up-coming retreat.. The project we will be teaching is "Twisted Bargello". Bargello quilts are always dramatic-but this one is exceptional. The classic bargello is twisted into a delightful design enhanced with contrasting fabrics. This bargello quilt's panels are strip pieced, cut to size, unstitched and then reassembled following a graph to produce the wonderful twisted effect. Machine piecing & rotary cutting experience are pre-requisites. The quilt may be as a wall hanging or bed size. The retreats Quintessential Quilts offers are always enjoyed by all who attend. Help us bring smiles to even more children's faces in 2011!! We appreciate all the donations you gave us in 2010....actually you gave those gifts of love to children in need of some comfort. We are asking you to bring your hand made pillow cases and/or "cuddle blankets" to QQ again this year. We'd be happy to give yu a pattern if needed. Just give us a call. We donate all the pillow cases and cuddle blasnkets to Reedsburg Emergency Department. They give each child that comes into the department a blanket or pillow case to keep. We would appreciate your help to make sure that every child admitted in 2011 will be comforted by a special gift of love. |
